IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Thursday September 20th 2012 Atrium celebrated the Naked and Famous launch of their women’s collection and the Atrium exclusive collaboration at our Soho location on 644 Broadway. The #HoorayJapaneseDenim theme turned out to be yet another successful event. Guests were amazed to see such a various assortment of denim, such as heat activated and the blacklight wash!
Beautiful DJ Yeva started the celebration in full swing as guests sipped on innovative Japanese inspired cocktails sponsored by Gabriella Wines and Pearl Vodka. In sync with the Japanese theme, an array of Japanese candy was also available for guests to try such as HI-CHEW, Pocky sticks.
Naked and Famous designer, denim connoisseur Brandon Svarc, was front and center throughout the event. While giving guests some denim tutorials, Brandon and team shared their secrets of producing unique fabrics (such as heat sensitive denim) while also creating fashionable jeans with a great fit. To go along with the Japanese themed event (in light of the Japanese denim) Brandon and team were making handmade denim origami throughout the evening. After seeing Brandon’s skills in action, we can only wonder what he will come out with next! Check out our current collaboration with Naked & Famous, the Atrium x Naked & Famous Tiger Camo.

In the words of Kenneth “Real life is for March…nothing on Leap Day counts”. Although this may be coming from the naïve character from NBC’s hit comedy 30 Rock, it does give the holiday that only comes every four years a much more special meaning. In honor of this oddity, the Atrium team has gathered our 29 Leap Day Lusts that you should treat yourself with on this extra day – because remember NOTHING on Leap Day counts…
Make sure you follow us on Twitter and Instagram as we track our #LeapDayLusts – and don’t hold back…as you know you have some too.
Available at Atrium Soho and online. Call 212-473-3980 x12, e-mail customerservice@atriumnyc.com or visit Atrium Soho to get your Leap Day Lusts!
Get your game face on this season – Spring trends are all about the athletic and the chic casual. So how do you sport such a conflicting trend? Integrate sporty inspired materials such as mesh, yarn, zippers, buckles and jersey with athletic conceptual pieces like sweatshirts, sneakers and bralettes to keep your look both playful and in style. To avoid looking like you just came from the gym layer athletic separates with solid pieces; this will create athletic streamlining without dominating the feminine silhouette.

So what’s this talk about the opera?
Laser lights, opereratic singers, cirque de soleil-eque performances all while listening to the DJ mogul Axwell? – This is not your typical opera. Located in the historical NY Hammerstein Ballroom, this magic-themed two night concert will mark the first chapter of the electronic event series. Axwell, the known DJ from Swedish House Mafia, is a creator and partner in the series – making it a must talked about event. Electronic music and theatrical production will integrate into one, with never-before seen laser and lighting elements integrated with dramatic, opera-themed activations spread throughout the venue. The Audience may not realize it…but they will be part of this magical experience.
What are you wearing?
With an epical event such as this, wardrobe decisions will not be taken lightly – but don’t worry we’ve got your back. This is a full on dance-oriented concert, so comfort here is key. Neon silk, graphic tees, edgy metallics and animal influenced designs will be everywhere in this circus themed event. Check out some of our essentials available in-store to keep you looking good through the epic dance marathon. Don’t forget to add some cosmic to your beauty routine, as this is the night to go all out. Fluorescent make-up and trippy nail decals are all the rave for spring (pun intended) so what better time to break out the this beauty trend.
