TOMS Take-over

One word says it all – TOMS. The A-team is completely obsessed with TOMS shoes and I’m sure you can guess why.  The charitable fashion brand, which started in 2006 by Blake Mycoskie, revolves around the One for One movement – matching every pair of shoes purchased with a pair of new shoes given to a child in need.  As shopping can often be seen as a superficial thing, we couldn’t think of a better concept.  Just think, by purchasing a pair for yourself you will be giving a child a pair of shoes so they can walk to school!  Now with these amazing new styles and colors, I can’t see who WOULDN’T want to buy a pair.  So join the TOMS team and channel your style for a good cause.

Fashion for a Cause.

TOM shoes have become a huge fashion craze within the past couple of years… I mean, what’s not to love? Super cute, comfortable, and did I mention, every shoe purchased provides a pair for a child in need.  The A-Team loves the One for One movement which is all about helping equip people with confidence, a tool that they can take and apply however is most fitting in their lives.  Atrium has over 8 different styles, which is suiting for the Spring.  Which style is your fav?

The A-team does PROJECT, Vegas style.

Last week the Atrium team hit the desert for the bi-annual Project Show in the only other city that never sleeps – Las Vegas.  For any of you who have never been to a trade show before, this is the time of year where brands from all over the world gather to showcase their new product for the upcoming season – from the oh-so-popular to the up and coming. Buyers, designers and esteemed members of the media gather for a retail bender as they search for the next big thing making it essential for Atrium’s team to be front and center in all the action. In typical A-team style, we captured the best of the show to give you a chance to experience what everyone is talking about.  As you will see PROJECT brought it’s a-game this year with curated installations, impromptu fashion shows, a barber shop and much much more.

Project Wooster:

This by far was my favorite part of Project.  Curated by Nick Wooster, this area was dedicated to his personal exploration of how brands interpret the evolution of fashion and its historical influences that ultimately shape collections.  With most brands coming from Tokyo, the area was filled with camouflage, recovered war paraphernalia and vintage accessories – check out the camo couches!

Project Love:

This curated area is dedicated for the brands that have been the most successful in using the fashion platform to support different global causes.  Check out the brands: This Shirt Helps, The IOU Project, Krochet Kids, TOMS, Falling Whistles and GN Therapy.

The Blogger Project curated by Marcus Troy:

Bloggers document their favorite finds of PROJECT and get the chance to collaborate with on goin.  Get a chance to meet the people behind the computer, : Coco and Cowe, Get Janet, Grungy Gentleman, Hearty Magazine, High Snobette, Jennilee Stylist, M.I.S.S, On and Beyond, Selectism, The Denim Guy, Two Inch Cuffs and Slam x Hype.  In the words of Marcus Troy, “Blogging ain’t easy but somebody’s got to do it”.
